Volunteer Information Session

As a member of Maker Community Inc (MCI) you’ll already know that we are a non-profit run entirely by volunteers. MCI is a growing organisation with a steadily growing membership of people like you, which enables us to keep paying the bills and maintaining the workshop facilities. Growing membership numbers also means that we need to grow the number of volunteers that enables MCI run for the low cost that we currently do.

These volunteers serve in all sorts of roles including Duty Managers who look after the workshop and members during our open sessions, volunteers that help to maintain the workshop and equipment, helping to promote us on social media, and on the committee (who wrangles memberships, website, classes, enquiries, purchasing decisions, finance, utilities, building issues, duty manager rosters, garbage collections and also of course also often cleans the dust filters!)

We’d like to invite you to a general, casual all-member meeting to highlight opportunities to volunteer and for expressions of interest to do so. This meeting will be held at 3pm on Saturday 8th July, and we’d love you to be there.

Food will be provided – please RSVP via this event so we can estimate catering needs!
