Stash Swap

Maker Community, 70 Saxon St, Brunswick

Sundays as scheduled, 1pm – 3pm

Share craft supplies with local makers and help to re-home unused or unwanted materials for more sustainable making!

The Maker Community Inc. Stash Swap is a great opportunity to meet like-minded makers, share materials, and find something exciting for your next project! Everyone will get to go home with some new-to-them items that we have diverted from going to waste, or just collecting dust!

We are looking for unused, gently used or unwanted sewing, craft or art supplies. Please ensure sharp items are secure that there are no damaged items, any equipment should also be in working order. Any items without a home at the end of the day will be donated to the maker space for workshops and community projects.

This includes:

  • Fabric, notions & trims
  • Sewing Supplies
  • Knitting, crochet & Embroidery
  • Other art & craft supplies

What to expect:

A friendly and inclusive environment with local makers who are looking to:

  • reduce waste from unused sewing/craft/art supplies
  • declutter or refresh making supplies
  • bring people together to meet other local makers

Bring along yourself and some items on the day to swap. Volunteers will be there on the day to help and from 11am you are welcome to browse, collect materials for your own projects and have a cup of tea and chat.

If you don’t have anything to swap, that’s fine! We just ask that if you can, please make a small donation to the space to help support events like this. We’ve estimated about $15-$20 to take home items for your own projects.
