Do you have a design in mind that you want to communicate to someone so they can approve or make it?

This class is a beginner’s intro to using 3D design software.  At the end of the session you will be able to create 3D computer models of simple symmetrical objects such as planter pots.  This is the first step towards 3D printing, laser cutting, or manufacture (not covered in this session).

You will need Fusion 360 (free version) loaded on your laptop. Bring along a mouse as well as a simple household object to model.https://www.autodesk.com.au/products/fusion-360/personal

The class will be held upstairs so please advise if you have any accessibility needs. If you do not have access to a computer, we have limited machines you can use, please email us at maker.community.inc@gmail.com to request.

$30 members/concession

$50 non-members

About the Facilitator

I’m Graham, a semi-retired engineer and educator who regularly uses CAD to help refine designs and communicate design ideas.

Take a look at https://a360.co/3nFdkLo to see my current project.  I drew this to discuss with my daughter to get the design to her liking before making it.  You will need a lot of practice to get to this stage.
