Our Membership Options

Please note that to become a member and begin using the tools in our space you need to do the following...
  1. First you need to pay for and become and 'Association Member'. This membership primarily covers our insurance and is a yearly payment that is required to be able to become a 'community member' and begin doing your inductions and using the space.
  2. Next you need to pay for and become a 'Community Member'. This is also known as our 'part time membership'; as a Community Member, you have access to use the space on Monday and Thursday evenings between 6.30pm and 9.30pm and between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays.
  3. Once you have become a Community Member it is compulsory to complete our safety inductions before using most of the equipment in the space. These inductions are typically free of charge if you have paid for your community membership.
  4. If you would like to become a full time member please read the Prospective Full-Time Member Info Pack for a detailed description of what's involved, and contact us if you have questions or are ready to begin the application process.

Association Membership

Maker Community Inc is an incorporated association and by signing up to this membership you become a member of the association. The sign up fee goes towards our insurance and other admin fees. This membership gets you:

  • Please note that this does not give you access to our workshop. Such access comes with the add-on memberships below
  • Be a part of and learn from our vibrant community
  • Member only events
  • Ability to sign up to further memberships
  • Voting rights
