Woodworking Induction

Woodworkshop In this class, you will learn the health and safety aspects relating to all the machines and the wood workshop itself. You will also be shown how to use the tools, get hands-on time and tips and tricks for each machine.

Please note that you must be a Maker Community Inc Member to sign up to this class.

  • a jigsaw
  • a biscuit jointer
  • a disk sander
  • a belt sander
  • a drill press
  • a handheld drill
  • a scroll saw
  • a handheld router
  • a tabletop router
  • a rotary multitool (Dremel)
  • a lathe
  • hand saws
  • chisels
  • Planes
  • an electric plane

If you are an experienced woodworker and believe that you already possess the skills taught in this session, please write us at maker.community.inc@gmail.com to arrange for an assessment to determine if we can approve you for machine use without the skill teaching session. You will, however, still need to attend a session to cover the health and safety aspects for the machine and space use.
